At CVS Group plc we are the largest veterinary service provider in the UK with turnover in excess of £200m and EBITDA of over £30m. We operate several key business areas; 360 veterinary surgeries, four diagnostic laboratories, seven pet crematoria, a successful ecommerce business and two buying. We have doubled in size in the last three years due both to good like for like sales performance and our highly acquisitive nature (we acquired 62 veterinary surgeries in the last year alone). We have continued expansion, development and diversification initiatives planned and aim to continue our recent growth rate.
Due to upcoming maternity leave, we have a great opportunity for a proven HR Manager to join our HR Team on a 12 month fixed term contract.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of 9 HR Advisers and Administrators to successfully deliver HR expertise, coaching, support and advice to stakeholders across the entire business. In addition, you will take the lead in the delivery of HR specific projects within the group; such as policy development, system improvements and compensation & benefits.
On a weekly basis you will manage a diverse workload that includes; employee relations, new business acquisitions, acquisition integration (including TUPE), team management and HR project delivery. CVS is a fast paced business that is growing rapidly (by way of example our employee headcount grew by 1000 in the past 12 months) and your workload will flex and adapt to this pace of growth.
To be successful, you will be able to demonstrate:
Proven experience working in a HR leadership role
A good understanding and practical experience of resolving complex employee relations issues
Proven experience working with a multi-sited and distributed stakeholder base
CIPD qualification (or equivalent)
Knowledge and experience of managing the TUPE transfer process
A passion for people and continuous improvement
